- 8 ounce container Cool Whip thawed
Garnish
- 1 cup Cool Whip extra (optional for garnish)

Instructions
- Beat Cream Cheese: Using a medium size mixing bowl and a handheld mixer on medium-high speed, beat the softened cream cheese for 1 minute until smooth.
- Combine Condensed Milk: Add the sweetened condensed milk to the cream cheese and continue mixing for 1 more minute until completely combined.
- Add Kool-Aid Mix: Sprinkle in the unsweetened black cherry Kool-Aid mix and mix until the color is uniform throughout the mixture.
- Fold in Cool Whip: Add the thawed Cool Whip and mix on low speed until the pie filling is well incorporated and smooth.
- Fill Crust: Spoon the pie filling evenly into the pre-made graham cracker crust, spreading it smoothly.
- Chill Pie: Cover the pie and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until fully set.
- Slice Pie: Once chilled, slice the pie into 8 equal slices.
- Garnish Slices: Using a decorator’s bag or a quart size ziplock bag with a corner snipped off, pipe extra Cool Whip in a swirl on the edge of each slice.
- Add Cherries: Place one maraschino cherry on top of each swirl of Cool Whip.
- Serve: Keep the pie chilled until ready to serve.
Notes
- Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Freeze pie without Cool Whip and cherries for up to 1 month, tightly covered in aluminum foil.
- Allow frozen pie to thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
- You can substitute any flavor of Kool-Aid for black cherry to vary the taste.
- If using the plastic cover from the graham cracker crust as the lid, remove the paper center and use it for storing the pie.
- When freezing with the plastic lid, wrap the pie again tightly with aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn.
- Garnish the pie with corresponding fruit when using different Kool-Aid flavors.
- Keep the pie chilled until serving for best texture and flavor.
