Description

Delight in these easy Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites that taste just like cinnamon-sugar doughnut holes. Made with simple canned biscuit dough and a buttery cinnamon sugar coating, they’re perfect for a quick sweet snack or breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuits

  • 1 can biscuits (16.3 ounces), buttermilk or flaky style
  • ½ stick butter, melted (2 ounces)

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare biscuit bites: Open the biscuit can and separate each biscuit. Cut each biscuit into four even pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
  3. Bake the biscuits: Bake the biscuit balls in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Note that the bites will spread and won’t remain perfectly round—that’s completely normal.
  4. Make cinnamon sugar: While the biscuits are baking, whisk together the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set this mixture aside for coating later.
  5. Cool and coat: Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. Optionally, break them in half if desired, especially if using flaky biscuits. Transfer the biscuits to a large mixing bowl.
  6. Butter and sugar coating: Pour the melted butter over the warm biscuit bites and gently stir to coat them evenly. Then add the cinnamon sugar mixture and stir again until all the biscuit bites are well coated.
  7. Serve and store: Serve the cinnamon sugar biscuit bites fresh for the best taste and texture. If you have leftovers, store them covered at room temperature for up to one day.

Notes

  • For extra cinnamon flavor, increase the cinnamon to 1½ teaspoons.
  • Use flaky biscuits if you prefer a lighter, flakier texture; buttermilk biscuits work well too.
  • If you want a glaze instead of butter coating, try drizzling with cream cheese frosting for a richer treat.
  • Store leftover bites in an airtight container on the counter; refrigeration can dry them out.
  • To reheat, warm bites briefly in a oven or toaster oven to refresh crispiness.
