Scale

Sandwich Components

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 cups beef brisket sliced or shredded
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup coleslaw

Instructions

  1. Preheat Broiler: Set the broiler to 500°F to get it ready for melting the cheese on the sandwich buns.
  2. Heat Brisket: Warm the beef brisket in a pan over medium heat or microwave it until it's hot throughout.
  3. Toast Buns with Cheese: Place the tops of the hamburger buns upside down on a baking sheet. Place a slice of provolone cheese on each bun top, then place under the broiler for about 2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven carefully.
  4. Assemble Sandwiches: On the bottom halves of the buns, layer the heated beef brisket evenly. Drizzle with barbecue sauce, then top with coleslaw.
  5. Serve: Place the cheese-topped bun halves back on top of the sandwiches. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Store separated ingredients like meat, cheese, and coleslaw in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days to keep them fresh.
  • You can toast the sandwich buns in the oven, on the grill, or in a pan on the stove according to your preference.
  • If desired, you may skip melting the cheese and add it cold for a different texture and flavor experience.
