Description

A refreshing and tropical Christmas Frozen Mango Margarita made with frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and a touch of guava jelly for sweetness. This festive cocktail is perfect for holiday celebrations and can be customized with tajín seasoning and fresh fruit garnishes.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup blanco (silver) tequila
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 small limes)
  • 12 tablespoons guava jelly or agave syrup or honey or simple syrup, to taste
  • Ice, as needed

For Serving

  • Tajín seasoning for rimming the glasses (optional)
  • Sliced lime and/or fresh mango pieces for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses: Sprinkle tajín seasoning onto a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rims of two glasses and dip each rim into the seasoning, rolling the glass so that it is fully coated. Set aside the rimmed glasses while preparing the margarita.
  2. Blend the margarita: In a high-powered blender, add the frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and guava jelly (or your choice of sweetener). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Adjust consistency and sweetness: Check the margarita's texture and taste. If the mixture is too thin, add ice to thicken it. Add more sweetener if desired, then blend briefly again.
  4. Serve and garnish: Divide the frozen mango margarita between the two rimmed glasses. Garnish each glass with sliced lime or fresh mango pieces if you like. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a high-powered blender to achieve a smooth consistency.
  • Adjust the sweetness according to your taste preference using guava jelly, agave, honey, or simple syrup.
  • Adding ice not only chills but thickens the margarita to your desired texture.
  • Tajín seasoning adds a tangy, spicy kick to the glass rims but is optional based on your preference.
  • Fresh fruit garnishes enhance the presentation and add extra flavor.
  • For a stronger margarita, increase the tequila slightly but be careful not to dilute the flavor balance.
