Description

Crispy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Wings baked to perfection with a savory garlic butter sauce, fresh parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. This easy-to-make recipe features tender wings coated in a delicious blend of spices and finished off with a crispy golden crust.

Ingredients

Scale

Spice Mix

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 400F (200C) and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven to ensure even cooking.
  2. Prepare Spice Mix: In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using, mixing well to create the dry seasoning blend.
  3. Coat Wings: Place the chicken wings in a baking dish. Sprinkle the prepared spice mix evenly over the wings and toss to coat thoroughly. Drizzle the olive oil over the wings, turning them to ensure they’re well coated.
  4. Bake Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until they are cooked through, crispy, and golden brown on the outside.
  5. Make Garlic Sauce: While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small pot over low heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped parsley. Stir occasionally until the garlic is fragrant, then remove from heat.
  6. Toss Wings in Sauce: Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and pour the warm garlic butter mixture over them. Toss to coat all wings evenly.
  7. Final Bake: Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the wings. Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese and create a crispy, brown finish.

Notes

  • TO STORE: Transfer leftover wings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • TO FREEZE: Place leftovers in a shallow container and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
  • TO REHEAT: Reheat chicken wings in the oven or air fryer to retain crispiness. Avoid microwaving as it will make the wings soggy.
