  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 shots espresso
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream (optional)


Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, add the almond milk, espresso shots, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and sugar.
  2. Heat the Mixture: Place the saucepan on medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and stir regularly to prevent scorching for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from Heat: After simmering for 2 minutes on low, remove the saucepan from the heat to avoid overheating.
  4. Serve: Pour the gingerbread latte into two cups. Optionally, top each serving with whipped cream for extra indulgence.

Notes

  • If you don’t have an espresso machine or coffee maker, use instant coffee by combining 1/4 cup boiling water with 2 teaspoons of instant or decaf coffee, and reduce the milk to 1 3/4 cups.
  • For an iced gingerbread latte, pour the prepared latte over ice before serving.
