Description

Create festive and delightful Oreo Snowman Cookies using Golden Oreos coated in smooth white chocolate, decorated with black sugar pearls, orange Tic Tacs, sour punch straws, and colorful M&Ms. These charming snowman treats are perfect for holiday celebrations and fun baking with family.

Ingredients

Scale

Coating and Base

  • 2 (10 oz.) bags Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers or white candy melts
  • 24 Double Stuf Golden Oreos

Decorations

  • 168 black sugar pearl sprinkles
  • 24 orange Tic Tacs
  • 2 ounces pack sour punch straws, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 48 M&Ms (use matching colors for each snowman’s earmuffs)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheets: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside to place the cookies after coating.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: Add the white chocolate wafers to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat Oreos: Dip each Golden Oreo one at a time into the melted white chocolate making sure it’s evenly coated. Lift it out with a fork, tap gently on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate, then transfer it to the lined baking sheet. Work in small batches.
  4. Decorate Snowman Face: Place two black sugar pearl sprinkles for eyes. Position one orange Tic Tac in the center as the nose. Create a smiling mouth by placing five black sugar pearls below the nose in a smile shape.
  5. Add Earmuffs: Attach a 2-inch piece of sour punch straw horizontally for the earmuff strap. Hold it in place for about 10 seconds to allow the chocolate to firm up slightly. Then attach one M&M on each end of the strap using the melted chocolate to secure them. Use the same color M&Ms on both sides.
  6. Repeat and Chill: Repeat the coating and decorating steps with all Oreos. Once decorated, chill the baking sheets in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or until the chocolate is fully set.

Notes

  • Store Oreo Snowman Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking and decoration damage.
  • For smaller batches, melt only a portion of the chocolate wafers at a time to reduce waste and keep leftovers fresh.
  • If sugar pearls aren’t available, substitute the mouth with black confetti sprinkles or mini chocolate chips.
  • Use orange sprinkles or specialized snowman decorations for the nose if orange Tic Tacs aren’t on hand.
  • Get creative with earmuffs by using Skittles, peppermint candies, or Spree candies instead of M&Ms; Twizzlers pull n peel also works well for the strap.
  • Instead of candy decorations, cookie icing in black and orange can be used to draw facial features.
  • Try different Oreo flavors like Mega Stuf, mint, peanut butter, or peppermint for fun variations.
  • For a fun presentation, place finished snowmen on lollipop sticks and wrap in cellophane with festive ribbon to gift or serve.
