Ingredients
Scale
Cookie Dough
- 2 cups store-bought or homemade edible cookie dough
Decorations
- 9 mini Oreos
- 18 Rolo chocolate candies
- 18 snowflake sprinkles (optional)
- Black pearl sprinkles, for decorating
- Orange pearl sprinkles, for decorating
Ganache
- 2 cups (240 g) white chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
Instructions
- Freeze cookie dough: Portion cookie dough into 1-Tbsp. scoops on a parchment-lined baking sheet (you should have 18). Freeze dough until very firm, 15 minutes.
- Prepare Oreos: Separate Oreos and scrape off frosting with a spoon to remove it completely.
- Make white chocolate ganache: In a medium heatproof bowl, microwave white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 15-second increments, stirring between each, until melted and smooth, about 1 minute.
- Create ganache bases: Spoon 18 rounds approximately 1 inch in diameter of ganache onto another parchment-lined baking sheet to form the base of the bites. Save remaining ganache for dipping and assembling.
- Make Oreo hats: Dip the smaller rounded end of each Rolo candy into the remaining ganache. Attach the dipped end to the flat side of an Oreo to form a snowman hat. If using, dip each snowflake sprinkle into ganache and attach it to the rim where the Rolo meets the Oreo hat.
- Assemble snowmen: Roll each frozen dough scoop into a smooth ball. Using a fork, dip one dough ball into ganache to coat completely, then gently press it onto a ganache round on the baking sheet. Before the chocolate sets, attach 2 black sugar pearls for eyes, 3 to 4 black sugar pearls in a semicircle for a mouth, and 1 orange sugar pearl for the nose. Place the Oreo hat on top of the snowman’s head. Repeat with all dough balls.
- Set chocolate: Let the chocolate ganache set for 20 minutes at room temperature before serving.
Notes
- You can use store-bought edible cookie dough or make your own homemade version that is safe to eat raw.
- Scraping the Oreo cream is optional but adds to the clean look of the hats.
- Use a fork to dip the cookie dough balls to avoid sticking to your hands.
- If white chocolate ganache starts to harden while assembling, gently reheat in short bursts to soften.
- Store these cookie dough bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Snowflake sprinkles add a festive touch but can be omitted for simplicity.
