Description

These festive Strawberry Santas with Cream Cheese Frosting are a delightful and easy-to-make holiday treat featuring fresh strawberries filled with creamy, sweetened cream cheese frosting, decorated with mini chocolate chips to resemble Santa Claus.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberries

  • 12 strawberries

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Decorations

  • Mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the frosting: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy and smooth.
  2. Whip the cream: Add the heavy cream to the mixture and beat for 4-5 minutes until thick, smooth, and creamy.
  3. Prepare the strawberries: Wash the strawberries carefully and pat dry to ensure the frosting sticks well. Remove the stem from each strawberry and cut off about 1/4 from the top to create the smaller cone for Santa’s hat. Set these tops aside.
  4. Assemble the Santas: Transfer the cream cheese frosting into a piping bag. Pipe the frosting onto the bottom larger part of each strawberry to form Santa’s beard.
  5. Add the hats: Place the smaller strawberry top pieces on the filled bottom pieces to make Santa’s hat. Optionally, dust powdered sugar over the hats for a snowy effect.
  6. Decorate details: Use the piping bag to add a white pom-pom on top of each hat and pipe two side swirls to create Santa’s mustache.
  7. Add the eyes: Place two mini chocolate chips on each strawberry for the eyes.
  8. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the finished Strawberry Santas until ready to serve for the best taste and appearance.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before frosting to prevent slipping.
  • Use softened cream cheese to ensure a smooth frosting texture.
  • For easier piping, chill the frosting briefly before transferring to the piping bag.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be replaced with small edible sugar pearls for different eye styles.
  • Dust powdered sugar lightly to achieve a snow effect without overwhelming the flavor.
  • This recipe works well as a fun holiday appetizer or festive dessert.
